The Vector Role of the NGOs

The NGOs are credited as vectors in participatory action and governance in the European project community. NGOs’ common behavior with living labs when we are talking about research and strategies, and the behavior of the stakeholders when we are talking about transformative actions.

Cities2030 Project actively promotes citizen engagement by establishing a reliable Food System,
transitioning consumers from passive recipients into motivated agents of change.

Food for Iasi Living Lab

As part of the Cities2030 project, the Romanian Academy, Iasi Branch, and the Iasi City Hall launched the Food for Iași Living Iasi.

Food for Iasi Living Lab represents an innovative hub, which supports the collaboration between the main actors in the North-East Region of Romania, for the sustainable and sustainable development of urban and rural food systems.

FILL is built in the quadruple helix model and has the following collaborators:

  • Romanian Academy, Iași Branch (ARFI), as representative of the academic community,
  • Municipality of Iași (PMI), as representative of the public administration,
  • Rural Development Research Platform, and Made in Iași Association, as representatives of the civil society,
  • Local producers as representatives of the entrepreneurship.
